20/10 The second book in a new trilogy based on the hit television show, The Librarians, by Greg Cox.

Amazon Summary: For millennia, the Librarians have secretly protected the world by keeping watch over dangerous magical relics. Cataloging and safeguarding everything from Excalibur to Pandora’s Box, they stand between humanity and those who would use the relics for evil

Stories have power.

In 1719, Elizabeth Goose published a collection of rhyming spells as a children's book, creating a spellbook of terrifying power. The Librarian of that age managed to dispose of all copies of the book except one, which remained in the possession of Elizabeth Goose and her family, temporarily averting any potential disaster.

Now, strange things are happening around the world. A tree-trimmer in Florida is blown off his elevated perch by a freak gust of wind, a woman in rural Pennsylvania is attacked by mutant rodents without any eyes, and a college professor in England finds herself trapped inside a prize pumpkin at a local farmer’s market. Baird and her team of Librarians suspect that the magic of Mother Goose is again loose in the world, and with Flynn AWOL—again—it is up to Cassandra, Ezekiel, and Stone to track down the missing spellbook before the true power of the rhymes can be unleashed.

My review:

I didn’t want to write a halfway point because I wanted to wait. OK. This book. I was speechless. I don’t know where to begin. This review is similar to the one I did from the first book in the series, The Lost Lamp. (you can read it here: https://rosst2122.wixsite.com/review-athon/post/the-librarians-and-the-lost-lamp ) I love The Librarians series, and this book was just as good. The main reason why I liked this book was because Mother Goose’s Fairytales come to life. I love fairytales, and it was super fun. The three different storylines were interesting. Spending more time on each character really made me care even MORE about the characters. I love the characters, but I was able to learn more with the fleshed out characters. The Library itself is like a wonderland. It is filled with magical artifacts, from ancient artifacts, to modern magical artifacts. It is filled with magical and majestic things, such as a UNICORN! The author brings everything to life. He found a way to use personification to make things come to life. NOT TO MENTION BUT THE ENDING WAS SURPRISING. I LOVED THE FIGHT SCENES!

Please support the author and go buy this book. It was amazing. Worth the money.
