My Review:

7/10

This review has to be short because there isn't much to say. lets start with the good things. My friendgot this book and looked interesting. So I decided to read it. From page one it felt like one of those murder mystery board games, where you get to know the backstory for everyone. Then after meeting the characters, there are little quizzes in the book. The questions were pretty funny, but the answers were a hoot.

This book was also really funny to me, not only because of the way Maureen Johnson wrote a survival guide, but the images. I have to tip my hat to Jay Cooper the illusztrator. Each page had an image of the character and those characters each looked like something between a Dr. Seuss character and a Maurice Sendack character.

Now the other thing I would like to discuss is both a pro and a con, which will be a perfect segway into my next topic. I read this book in two hours tops. There were barely any words, and for that it was a super quick read. I would ave liked for it to be longer and packed with more oomph to it.

The book was $14. I knew it was a silly book, so I decided to check it out from my local library. Best idea ever. I love Maureen Johnson, but it felt like a low shot at people. $14 dollars for a book with 2000 words max, is a little pricy.

That's is for this one.
